The race

What is HYROX?

HYROX is a fitness race for everyone. You run 1 km, then do one workout station — eight times. Same format in every city in the world, so you can compare your time with anyone.

  • 8 × 1 km of running
  • 8 workout stations, one after each run
  • Race alone, with a friend (Doubles) or as a team of four (Relay)
  • Open division for most people, Pro for heavier weights
  • Most first-timers finish in about 1.5 hours

Questions

HYROX questions

What is HYROX?

A fitness race for everyone: eight 1 km runs, each followed by a workout station — ski, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. The format is the same in every HYROX race worldwide.

Where can I train for HYROX in St. Maarten?

At Solis Body Club in Simpson Bay — the only gym on the island offering HYROX, and an official HYROX Training Club. We run coached group classes, and members can practise the stations in open gym.

What HYROX equipment do you have?

A sled you can load with weight on our turf track, wall balls, farmers carry handles, a rower and a ski machine — so you can practise the race stations right here.

Can beginners do HYROX?

Yes. Most people race in the Open division, or in Doubles with a friend. Our classes teach you every station and build you up step by step.
